Last Sunday I had the pleasure of shooting the 2nd Annual Reckless Kelly Celebrity Softball Jam at Dell Diamond, which benefited The Miracle League and Little League Baseball. That was one of the best days of shooting I have ever had! Not only did I get to see the hilarity of the softball game with Charlie Hodge (The Charlie Hodge Halftime Show with Matt Sadler on KLBJ) trying to steal home by cheating and sneaking onto 3rd base without batting, but I also got reunited with an old friend, Travis, from previous bartending days who is now known as the Deadliest Deckhand from The Wizard on Discovery Channel's Deadliest Catch. With a comedic bunch of yahoos on the field the crowd was definitely entertained!

After the game and a short break to scarf down a hot dog and some nachos I headed down to center field for 5 hours of the Jam. A slew of bands participated with 15-30 minute sets all ending with fireworks around 9:45PM. Along with Reckless Kelly came Dale Watson, Ray Benson, The Trishas, George DeVore, Charlie Robison, Micky & The Motorcars, Randy Rogers Band, Hayes Carll, Cross Canadian Ragweed, and many others. It was a jam worth being there for and if you missed it this year then make plans now to attend next year's event!
