Morning coffee. I can't live without it, especially the first cup before heading out to take my son to preschool. Normally I don't take a cup with me on the road. There is usually a cup or so left in the pot from the coffee my wife drinks on the way to the gym at 5:00am. I'll have my one cup and make a fresh pot when I get home from the school run. However, today my wife didn't go to the gym so there was extra coffee in the pot just staring at me begging to go on a road trip, so I grabbed the first travel mug I saw and filled her up!
After loading up the kids in the truck and securely fastening them into their seats, I realized that I left my sunglasses in the minivan that my wife took to work today. My eyes do not function well without sunglasses. I looked around for my son's Batman or Thomas the Tank Engine shades but all I could find were my wife's Nine West sunglasses. Not wanting to cause an accident because my eyes would be almost closed from squinting at the bright ball of fire in the sky, I put them on for the trip to school and back.
Then at the first stoplight when I took a sip of coffee I noticed this image when I glanced in the rear view mirror:
^ Sassy!
This would be one of those moments in life that my wife is glad that I am all hers...for eternity! I could see the women in the cars around me trying to steal a glimpse of the complete and total hotness emitting from the truck next to them. Coming my way would be a wink, a flirty giggle, and the popular, "call me" whispered from their lips with the phone hand gestures at their ears.
Sorry, ladies. This sassy stay-at-home dad is off the market!
