Somebody in this house who is 2 years old, about 34 1/2 inches tall, and weighs in at around 30 pounds really doesn't care much for going to time-out. Normally she has beautiful blue sparkling eyes. These angry eyes look like they could take down a grown man. Should I be worried?

Huh. The strangest thing happened when I went to Super Target earlier to spend some gift card money on new shorts and t-shirts.
I haven't fit in size 32 waist shorts since before my son was born 4 1/2 years ago. Two weeks ago I was wearing size 34's. What's my secret, you ask? Well, I got sick after Spring Break with the cocktail flu a bronchial infection that came with a 101 degree fever that lasted for about 6 days. I've been coughing for two weeks now and it seems that my lungs are about done cleaning themselves out. During the last two weeks I haven't had beer until the last couple of days. Huh. Don't drink much beer and drop two inches off the waist in two weeks! Who would have thought? OK, I know that is a dumb question. I did get some brewskies to celebrate tonight and tomorrow I think my body and lungs will be ready to hit the gym so I can keep wearing these size 32 waist shorts.
I know many of you are probably shocked to see new content here. After a few months of clearing out some clutter in my head I was finally able to break through the cobwebs and write something. My column at Quirkee has been well substituted by Ed and his World-Colored Glasses column , and you will definitely see more of him as my articles will probably not run weekly anymore. New faces and fresh material are things that keep Quirkee quirky.
Spring Break has come and gone here, which means our party during SXSW is over, livers are recuperating, and sleep deprivation is no longer being cured by endless cups of strongly brewed java.
