Today is a day that will forever live in history for my daughter and my niece. They were both born on January 20th - six years apart - and the first African American President, Barack Obama, took over the Oval Office as President of the United States today. No matter what party line you reside on this is a great day for America. We have come a long way since the birth of this country and to witness this in our lifetime is special, at least to me.
Last night we baked cupcakes for her class at preschool and she is such a great helper in the kitchen. When I picked her up from school she insisted on carrying the leftover cupcakes (how are there leftovers???) along with her lunchbox and jacket. With only two hands, and it being too warm to wear her jacket in the afternoon, this is how she carried it...
Happy Birthday, Little Bit!

I was feeling uninspired today while driving around Austin looking for
my photo of the day so I took a shot that 1000's of other people have
taken before me.

I literally "phoned this one in" as I sat at the train crossing last night.
Taken with a Samsung Rant.

While waiting for Mama in the truck yesterday I snapped this portrait of my son. Yea, it's a little noisy but so is he - so it works!
